Hello everyone!

The work that we have done recently tried on the word post truth. First of all, we had to say that we understand ourselves about the post-truth word.

The concept of post truth is to describe a situation in which, when creating public opinion, the objective facts have less influence than the calls to personal beliefs. It is a novaparla for the lie.

An example of post truth relationated with my topic is that voodoo has become associated in the popular imagination with satanism, zombies and 'voodoo dolls'. Although there is evidence of zombie creation, it is a minor phenomenon within Haitian rural culture and is not part of religion as such. These questions fall under the auspices of the bokor or sorcerer rather than the priest of the Loa.
The practice of sticking needles into dolls has its origins in European magical folklore, but its exact origin is unknown. It is not known how it came to be known as the method of cursing a particular individual at the hands of the followers of Voodoo in New Orleans, or rather, 'Hudú'. Some believe that it was used as a defensive means against the superstitious slave owners. This practice is not exclusive to voodoo or hoodoo, and uses European-based artifacts, such as poppet and nkisi or 'bosio' from west and central Africa.

It was also said that voodoo was created to cure serious illnesses, but for the moment it has not been possible to confirm because most of the uses that the voodoo has had have been to make rituals or to cause pain to people who, according to Vudú practitioners were bad guys, they had sinned.
